A Doll's House at the Brockley JackA Doll’s House: on tour!

by Henrik Ibsen, adapted by Samuel Adamson

Directed by Pauline & Dan Armour.

Following Bromley Little Theatre’s successful 5-star production of A Doll’s House at the London Theatre, New Cross in January, the show now transfers to the famous Brockley Jack Theatre from 22 to 26 April and 29 April to 3 May 2014 (click link to buy tickets).

If you missed it at BLT or The London, here’s your chance again to catch it at this renowned South London venue!

A Doll’s House is the world’s most performed play. Its popularity endures partly because the themes that Ibsen explored in 19th Century Norway have a timeless quality which continue to resonate with modern day audiences and still retain their ability to shock. Anyone who has been in a difficult relationship can relate to the universal anxieties of money, honesty, love and betrayal. Samuel Adamson’s taut script retains all of Ibsen’s spellbinding plot and combines it with emotionally thrilling dialogue. A sexy, passionate, fast moving interpretation of Ibsen – challenging and truthful.

“Adamson’s adaptation is a refreshing rebirth of the original … “

“… an emotive interpretation from script to stage – highly sexed, humourous, perceptively theatrical …

The Sarnies 2013: The results!

The Sarnies Awards presentations night last month was the usual potpourri of glamour, laughter and tears as Wayne Sheridan, Jessica-Ann Jenner & Co.’s herculean efforts in putting the show together paid off spectacularly! Hosted this year by the suave Howard Binysh, there was a strong Doctor Who theme to the evening – complete with onstage Tardis. Highlights include a miniature Snoopy: The Musical, with set desigher extraordinaire Tony Jenner playing the part of the eponymous beagle and a rare appearance by grand dame, Christine Spragg. Well done guys and a big thank you from all of us!
