Access for the Disabled

At Bromley Little Theatre we do everything we can to make our theatre accessible to all. If you have any special requirements, please let us know when you book, and we will do our best to ensure that your visit is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Parking

Bromley Little Theatre is in Compass Lane, off North Street. Compass Lane is a narrow private road and does not have parking, but there is double yellow line parking (available to Blue Badge holders) and ‘pay and display’ bays in North Street, close to the theatre. To see a picture of the area, click here and then click the back button to return to this page.

There are single yellow lines about 200 yards away in College Road which become available for parking by any driver after 6:30pm, but do check restrictions in case they change.

Building Access

The public parts of the building, including the auditorium and bar are all on the first floor. We have a lift (maximum size115 x 73 cm (45 x 28.5 inches)) and a ramp can be made available for an internal step. Please let us know your requirements before you visit so we can make any necessary arrangements to make your visit an enjoyable one.

Mobility scooters are unlikely to be able to access the theatre and should be left in the publicly accessible courtyard– please check with us before visiting.

We strongly recommend wheelchair users are accompanied by an able-bodied friend for safety purposes.

Toilets

We do not currently have wheelchair accessible toilets although these will be part of our redevelopment plans. There is an accessible toilet in the adjoining Railway Hotel. We would be happy to extend the play’s interval by a few minutes if necessary. Do please let our Front of House staff know your requirements.

Auditorium

We reserve a single space in our auditorium for a wheelchair user. Please check with our Box Office to ensure the space is available for your performance.

Shows held in the bar can accommodate a wheelchair (or several). However, please contact us beforehand as we may need to change the seating plan and make arrangements for your safety.

If appropriate, we can arrange a trial run at a mutually convenient time to ensure your visit is as straight forward and enjoyable as possible.
