Calendar Girls

Calendar Girls by Tim Firth Directed by Paul Campion

Fri 12th – Sat 20th October (not Sun)

Yes, the theatrical phenomenon of the last decade is coming to BLT!  The most successful play ever to tour the UK, Calendar Girls is being given a limited release for amateur performance and BLT will be one of the first to stage it.  So if you haven’t yet seen this marvellous show (or even if you have!) now’s your chance to find out what all the fuss is about.

Based on a true story, it tells the tale of a group of extraordinary women, members of a very ordinary Yorkshire branch of the Women’s Institute, who spark global interest by posing naked for a calendar to raise money for charity.  As the publicity snowballs, they end up revealing far more about themselves than they’d ever planned…

A very British story, with a very British heart, Calendar Girls is uplifting, inspiring, quirky, poignant…and hilarious!

As you’d expect with a show of this quality, we have managed to assemble a first-rate cast.  They are:

Chris                                                   Hilary Cordery

Annie                                                  Julie Binysh

Cora                                                    Sue Williams
