A message from Keith Jeremiah, our Chairman:- Looking Forward – with your help You don’t need me to tell you that the mental strains and isolation of the past year have had a devastating effect on many people and organisations, but I hope you will agree with me that there is much we can do to try to make it easier for those affected to recover and to rebuild their life. BLT has reached out to the Bromley Arts Trust […]
Paul, our current Manager has this to say about the role:- It’s a great role for being in the centre of what is going on at BLT. You meet lots of people, both the creative types and audience members, and you’re doing something which is, of course, critical to the theatre: no box office, no tickets, no money, no theatre! I’ve also been able to bring about quite a lot of change: eight years ago, most bookings were made over […]
Can you help? As we move forward with our ambitious plans for the future we are looking for people to help us govern and run our theatre. Roles are adaptable to suit available skills and levels of commitment. So, if you have legal, finance, administration, governance, HR, fundraising, marketing or health and safety experience – we’d love to hear from you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to find out more about getting involved.
We want to put together a small publicity team to promote our theatre in the local community and beyond. We’ve made a good start with our social media marketing and want to do more. But we want this team to concentrate on non-digital publicity. Typical activities might include connecting with local people, groups, schools & colleges, companies, shops, council etc etc….the list goes on, but we will encourage the team to come up with its own ideas, recommend an action plan […]
We are looking for someone to take over from Matt Sharp as programme designer for our shows. Ideally, you would need some knowledge of design software, but Matt is happy to provide support whilst you settle into the role. Interested in taking on this important role? Please email Bruce Wallace for more information.
Over the next year or two we want to reach out to a broader and more diverse community and continue to put maximum effort into our fund-raising work. We see digital marketing as a key enabler, but it can be confusing area, particularly if, like me, you don’t know very much about it! So, take a quick look through the following bullet points…..and if you can tick off a few, you could be just the person we need to help […]
Do you have experience of using Photoshop or similar design software? Are you familiar with the basic principles of design and prepared to give a little of your time to helping out the theatre? If so, we really need your help. We are looking for people with creative flair to design some of our show posters for 2018. If you think you could help, please contact Bruce Wallace (BLT Marketing Director) by emailing him at email@example.com or call him on 07766 826 […]
Please see here for our latest news on the redevelopment. Below are some photos of the work we did a few seasons ago. Pictures below (L to R) show our stage roof after and before….and the current condition of the Bar roof!
WARDROBE DONATIONS The Wardrobe Team have been having a tidy up and whilst they are delighted to receive some donations for the theatre wardrobe, please would you email the team before sending clothes as space is limited! This way they can decide whether items would be of use before they are brought in. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We regret that we cannot take modern clothing items. Please also email the team if you wish to borrow any items, so that arrangements can […]
Take One Lights …. Action Yes. The first phase of the repair, refurbishment and improvement of BLT is about to start. The roof over the stage – which not only leaks but, being made of fragile corrugated sheeting, also bangs and rattles in high winds – is to be re-covered during our summer break. At the same time, we are going to take down, clean and service all the stage lights and re-rig them once the new roof is on. […]
