We have specifically chosen plays that can be staged in a way which maintains social distancing and uses the minimum of props. As our capacity is much reduced to ensure social distancing in the auditorium we have extended our run to 11 nights to give more of our members a chance to buy a ticket. During May we plan to present a series of monologues performed by BLT members on our BLT Group Face Book page. We are inviting actors and directors to participate in this event. Each monologue will be presented by a BLT actor who has worked with a BLT director on a monologue which must NOT exceed 5 minutes – the monologue can be shorter. Owing to Government advice to the public to avoid attending theatres and other social and cultural events, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend all performances with immediate effect. Our theatre will be closed for the foreseeable future and we will re-schedule our programme for 2020/21 as soon as we are able.
