closure of our theatre

Owing to Government advice to the public to avoid attending theatres and other social and cultural events, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend all performances with immediate effect. Our theatre will be closed for the foreseeable future and we will re-schedule our programme for 2020/21 as soon as we are able.

We understand how disappointing this news will be for everyone involved with our theatre, but the safety and security of all the people who support us is our priority.

During the closure, in addition to the suspension of our Main Stage, In the Bar productions and Sunday Night Live events, there will be no rehearsals, youth theatre sessions or auditions.

If you have booked a show through Ticketsource (our ticketing provider) no action is required – your money will automatically be refunded.  If you have bought a ticket at the Theatre, our box office team will be in touch.

Should you need access to the building at any time during the closure, please contact a member of the board.

As many of you will know, we are raising money for the re-development of our charming – but tired – theatre building and the absence of revenue for an indeterminate time will only make this challenge harder. So, if you feel able to make a contribution to our funds at this unprecedented time, please click here….. we will be very grateful.

Please check in from time to time on our website, facebook, twitter and instagram pages for any new information. If you have not yet signed up for the BLTin, our free emailed newsletter, you can do so by clicking here.

In the meantime, please stay healthy and look after yourself, your loved ones and your neighbours.
