Bromley Little Theatre Annual General Meeting

It’s been a full-on year and it’s time to reflect and share. The 2026 AGM will build on the successful new approach we started in 2025. An AGM that puts you at the centre – reflecting our commitment to our community. Bring your thoughts, questions, bold ideas or quiet concerns. Write them down anonymously or speak up. We’re hosting a town-hall-style discussion where nothing is off-limits. If it matters to you, it matters to us. All welcome. Your theatre, your voice!
Loft Clearance

Black Heroes Soul Food Café – Celebrating Bromley’s Black Heroes
A Black Heroes Foundation event

Join us for a special Black Heroes Soul Food Cafe evening, celebrating Black achievement, local legacy and community pride across Bromley and South London.
Marking the Black Heroes Foundation‘s 10th Anniversary, this seated theatre event will honour the stories of remarkable Black figures connected to the area — from theatre, sport, literature, music, culture and community life.
The evening will include storytelling, video, live performance, music, spoken word and community reflections, shining a light on inspirational figures including local and South London-connected heroes such as Ira Aldridge, Dina Asher-Smith, Malorie Blackman, Poly Styrene, Junior Crooks, Rio Ferdinand, David Haye and others.
The event will also support fundraising for a Blue Plaque in honour of Flip Fraser, founder of The Voice newspaper and creator of Black Heroes in the Hall of Fame.

Apologia – Open Rehearsal

Apologia, which depicts a disastrous family reunion and offers a sharp and perceptive look at what has happened to 60’s idealists and their children will take to the BLT stage in September.
Rehearsals start now and you can come and watch how detailing work is carried out – focusing on Act 2, Scene 1 of the play.

Phil Deed and Sal Powers have typed themselves into a difficult corner. Phil is a best-selling romantic novelist, marketed brilliantly by his agent/publicist, Sal. Together, they’ve forged a life-affirming genre for the social media age – and accidentally become emotionally entangled in the process. But Phil’s grown to despise the saccharin-sweet characters that have made them a fortune, and wants to take the genre to an altogether darker place. This new comedy drama, an Edinburgh Festival preview, explores a creative partnership, where head and heart are pulled in drastically different directions.

Through poems exploring birth, family, the moments which quietly shape us, and our deep connection with the natural world, this gathering offers space to pause, reflect, and enjoy the richness of spoken poetry in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Come alone or with friends and spend some time immersed in poetry which lingers long after the final line. All are warmly welcome.

A Quest Soul Theatre CIC event

Ever fancied stepping onto a stage, but never quite had the chance? This is your moment. In just three hours, you’ll join a supportive, inclusive group to create a short performance from scratch — guided by the experienced facilitators of Quest Soul Theatre. Through playful drama exercises, storytelling, and collaboration, we’ll build something bold, joyful, and uniquely yours. At 1 pm, the curtain rises. Invite up to three friends or family members to watch your performance — a celebration where mistakes are welcome, and bravery is the real star.

In September 2026 optimism and connection will be celebrated in Bromley through a month of events created for or celebrated by ‘The Best of, FFS’, an initiative founded on the principle that if people think better of things and people, better things can happen. It is an answer to the cynicism and doom scrolling of our times, creating ‘good scrolling’ and offline connection and creativity. Bromley Little Theatre is a fine example of community, creativity and talent for all ages and is a very suitable place to hold both a preview event, and possibly, one in September.

Throughout the year CASPA, a charity that supports autistic individuals of all ages and their families, gives its members the opportunity to showcase their many talents, as well as holding weekly drama classes at Bromley Little Theatre. As community partners, they have a long-standing relationship with Bromley Little Theatre and are delighted to participate in the festival.
