In memory

We are deeply saddened to tell you that our dear friend and Trustee of Bromley Little Theatre, Dave Armour, has died.

Dave spent a lifetime working in theatre as an actor, director, writer and musician. From Liverpool to the Midlands and to Deptford – where he worked in the 1980’s at the Albany Empire – he made a positive impact on so many people.

Since 2007, he worked tirelessly at BLT sharing his skills, inspiring actors and other directors and spearheading the programme to raise funds so that BLT can have the renovation it so urgently needs. Dave was held in high regard by people of all ages and has left a wonderful legacy to which future generations can aspire. Always helpful and positive, he loved chatting about theatre, music and most recently, health.

The picture above was kindly supplied by our regular photographer, Robert Piwko, and comes from a session in December 2022 when Robert was taking some headshots of Dave. According to Robert, as the session came to an end Dave remarked – with a characteristic twinkle in his eye – ‘That wasn’t too painful, you must have at least one decent shot!’

RIP Dave. We’re going to miss you, mate.
