Far From The Madding Crowd

by Thomas Hardy. Adapted by Mark Healy

Directed by Kay O’Dea

The play takes place in the late 19th century in the county of Wessex countryside. Mark Healy, who adapted the novel into a play, describes it as being about ‘love and loss, desire and obsession and ultimately, murder and marriage.’

Live and authentic folk music help create the atmosphere and mood of the play.
