Sophie has bought the electronic babysitting device to keep tabs on her terminally ill father, who lives in the flat downstairs. He dies but she keeps the tiny screen switched on to maintain a wordless relationship with the new tenant, Jonah. He has grown up on a farm and now arrived in London and hasn’t managed to connect with anyone other than the mangy fox who visits the back garden.
Sophie and Jonah do the sort of things that couples do but over wifi – sharing video-conferenced meals together or watching each other watch the same programmes on TV. Then Jonah begins starts to follow Sophie’s movements in the outside world…………..
Offbeat, the low-key, delightful!
