In the days following 11 September 2001, thousands of airline passengers find themselves unexpectedly stranded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. As uncertainty spreads across the world, local people open their homes, their hearts and their lives to complete strangers. What follows is an extraordinary true story of compassion, resilience and the friendships that can grow in the most unlikely circumstances.

With an exhilarating folk-inspired score and a company of actors playing dozens of roles, Irene Sankoff and David Hein’s award-winning musical is funny, moving and joyfully life-affirming. At a time when division often dominates the headlines, Come From Away reminds us of the extraordinary things ordinary people can do for one another and will leave you smiling through your tears.

‘The best new musical in a generation.’   Daily Mail
