Home, I’m Darling

By Laura Wade

Directed by Josh Lawson

An amateur production by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd

Judy Martin is the perfect ‘1950’s’ housewife.  She keeps her Ideal Home immaculately clean, cooks from the most well sourced recipes and lovingly waits upon her husband when he returns home from his hard day at work. She truly lives her dream of being the ideal homemaker.  However, all is not what it seems and soon her carefully constructed world begins to fall apart.  How far will Judy go to keep up appearances and to ensure the survival of her domestic fantasy?

Laura Wade’s scalpel sharp and thought-provoking satire on gender roles and our obsession with all things retro received its world premiere at Theatre Clwyd in 2018, starring Katherine Parkinson and Richard Harrington.  It then played at the National Theatre, before transferring to the Duke of York’s Theatre in the West End.  It was met with critical acclaim and won the 2019 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

Book early to avoid disappointment!
