When King Shahrayar discovers his wife has been unfaithful he vows to marry a new wife a night before beheading them at sunrise. A thousand girls perish until Shaharazad volunteers to marry the King. On their wedding night she asks one favour of her new husband: to tell her sister one last story…
BLT Youth theatre brings to life Dominic Cooke’s vibrant retelling of the 1001 stories of Shaharazad: Ali Baba and the forty thieves, the adventures of El Sindibad the Sailor, the wife who wouldn’t eat and many more.
Warning: This production contains scenes of mild peril, ridiculously loud fart noises and a piece of wood disguised as a mole!
