And book now for June’s unmissable Bar show…
Witty, wise and wonderful, this play proves that great storytelling is always in fashion. From the brilliant Ephron sisters who created such mega-hits as When Harry Met Sally, You’ve Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle and Silkwood this funny, tender and compelling piece uses clothing as a metaphor for all the big moments in our lives. A magnificent celebration of life through old but unforgotten clothes.   21-25 June (in the Bar)

Landowner, mountaineer, industrialist, virago and libidinous, full-on lesbian, Anne Lister fought her way into the industrial revolution when women were usually marginalised. JusB youth charity needs your help
Some of you will know of the great work that JusB does in supporting hard to reach, disadvantaged young people.  They have been involved with projects at BLT for some while now.     Unfortunately, they are in the critical position that unless £75,000 is raised by the end of June they will have to close and no longer be able to support the hundreds of young people they work with each year.     There’s a link to their GoFundme page below that gives some more information – and allows you to donate! Want to volunteer at BLT? Be social!

After successful trial evenings which brought together a mix of new and not so new volunteers, stage management people and techs, we have scheduled more Thursday social evenings in The Railway pub (next door to BLT).  If you’d like to meet up, just come along after 7:30pm on any of the following dates:   June 1st and 22nd, July 6th and 20th   We know not everyone can – or will wish to – come every time but do come as it gives us all an opportunity to catch up and meet new members.
Free theatre nights for schools
Over the last 18 months we’ve been inviting school groups and their teachers to watch our Wednesday night dress rehearsal performances for free. The young people are greeted by the play’s director, given an outline of the play and participate in a Q/A session with the cast and crew. They love the experience of being in a “real” theatre….for some it’s often the first time!
We now want to offer these free nights of great theatre to more schools in the Bromley area. So if you know someone in a local secondary school who you think might be interested…….or maybe you are a teacher or have connections to a school and think this would be a great chance for young people to get involved in theatre, please contact Bruce Wallace at brucewallace@bromleylittletheatre.org or Pauline Armour at paulinearmour@bromleylittletheatre.org
Project Manager needed
We’re about to start on some important building development work at BLT….a mix of repairing, improving, finishing and decorating.     We need to schedule and manage this activity logically and cost-effectively….and that calls for good project management.   Do you have the skills and experience to help us for a few hours a week over the next few months?  You can work remotely and when it suits you.
If you think you can help your local outstanding theatre for everyone, please contact brucewallace@bromleylittletheatre.org
